The key objectives and critical success factors when delivering a project are:

  • Maintaining a safe work place (zero Harm Safety policy);
  • Selection of field proven and world standard operating systems;
  • The use of Off The Shelf Components (COTS)
  • No net negative environmental damage;
  • Good IR with a strong positive company reputation and community liaison;
  • Continuous project performance monitoring and reporting;
  • Capital Cost outcome for the project within Budget; and
  • Delivery within the project milestone.

Part of the project management services is administration of contracts and purchase orders. The Contract Management Plan describes the contracting management function and processes to be implemented for project execution, which will be implemented across all construction sites.

IS MY PROJECT VIABLE?

Our expert team and partners have wide experience in determining the feasibility of rail infrastructure development projects in industry sectors such as mining and public transport. We have substantial capability in rail feasibility study development and management, providing our stakeholders a high degree of reliability and confidence in our reports and recommendations. During our full suite of studies, we are able to demonstrate the projects commercial, technical and operational viability as well as provide a detailed and concise report suitable for financial approval. We have a track record for delivering studies on time and on budget and offer our clients the opportunity to gain from our experience in the development of the investment options for their projects. We recognize the industry demands for project development and funding and we assist clients in all three phases of the feasibility study process.

Scoping (concept) study

  • During this phase we assist clients in defining the potential of a project, eliminating options that are unlikely to become optimal, and determine if there is sufficient opportunity to justify the investment required for further studies.

Pre-feasibility studies

  • In this phased we assist clients in developing and selecting the preferred operating options from the shortlisted options defined by the scoping study and to provide a case for whether or not to commit to the large expenditure and effort involved in a subsequent definitive feasibility study.

Definitive (full) feasibility studies

  • From this stage we assist our clients in refining the optimal operating scenario defined by the pre-feasibility study. The final product is often used to assist our clients with external financing requirements. This study, once developed, provides the basis for the decision as to whether in fact further study is required, whether the project is worth pursuing or whether to advance the project to design and construction.
